Organizations:

In addition to what you submit when creating an account, we also collect any information you send through various means of contact such as email, phone, WhatsApp, or the contact form on our website.

We also automatically gather:

  • Type of browser and device used

  • The time of access

  • Which pages were viewed

  • IP address

  • Geolocation (if enabled on your device)

This information allows us to better understand and enhance the user experience on our website and cannot be linked to an identifiable person unless an account is created.

Payment Information

For students or organizations, if you pay for tutoring with a credit card, we will collect your name, card number, expiration date, and address at the time of purchase.

Tutors will provide their bank details in order for Couch Tutors to provide payments for services.

All financial information except for credit card numbers is stored and encrypted in full compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Credit card numbers are not stored.

How Your Information Is Collected & Used

Your information is collected in two ways. Some information is provided by you when creating your account, and other information is collected automatically when using our services.

  • Provide our services, including tutor matching and internal communication between tutors and students

  • Process transactions

Once students have been matched with a tutor, the profiles can be seen by the respective parties.

You have complete autonomy to delete your account at any time. Some information may be retained in our database after your account is deleted for our own records.
